Every year, National Dentist Day falls on March 6th and it’s one of our favorite days! We know the reasons we love the dentist like the back of our hand. Some of us love visiting the dentist because we truly enjoy being around them! Others love that minty-fresh feeling you get afterward and the slick feeling of running your tongue against freshly cleaned and polished teeth.
Visiting the dentist can also help you feel better. For some, visiting the dentist allows for unknown health conditions to be discovered, from gingivitis to high blood pressure. For others, it can be a source of relief.
Finding the reason something’s been irritating the mouth provides not only an answer to an unknown for those of us who aren’t dentists, but it also gives a path to a healthy mouth again. Even if you’re not 100 percent comfortable with your mouth’s appearance or health, a dentist will never judge. They will, however, work alongside you to get your mouth healthy again!
Others love to visit the dentist because they love their bodies! And they understand how important oral health is to overall health. When you learn about the connection the mouth has to the whole body, it’s hard not to love the dentist and all that they do for us!
